I am moving into an apartment and have no extra cash to spend on furniture. What furniture stores/ or other outlets to try ... can I go to, to get good deals on furniture?

Craigslist!!!!!!
Bob's also has good deals if you are buying an entire set but for individual pieces I would search craigslist.
There is a store in astoria that has cheap furniture but that might be to much of a ride for you.

we got our furniture so far at bobs and ashley. . . . you can also try craigslist and freecycle.
Alssso. . .there is a furniture thrift store by subaru dealership in enpt/dix hills. They had a lotttttt of great stuff!! St. Vincent de Paul is the name i think

I liked a bunch there, but FH didn't like the idea.

Bobs, Ikea and if you have smaller furniture stores around you, try them. you can usually haggle with them over prices that you wouldn't be able to do with a brand name store

Definitely Bob's. Also try Christmas Tree Shop - I think they accept BBB and Harmon coupons there - worth a shot!
