NWR: Where's the best place to buy area rugs?

Hi Ladies. Just trying to decorate our new place and I'm looking for modern area rugs. Any suggestions, whether online or in store. Here's an example of what I'm looking for.

I saw ones VERY similar to that one in home decorators collection catalog:

We just bought one at Ikea, I can't believe how inexpensive they were!! They did have things like that but in muted colors, nothing bold like that that I noticed

It depends what size you are looking for. For smaller rugs there are a lot of options howver my husband and I just bought a few larger ones and we went to Montauk Rug and Carpet on Route 110. They have remnants and you can pick your exact size and they will bind it for you. Also, we bought a 9x12 and an 8X10 area rug in Home Depot.

Yeah, 9x12 or 8X10 is what we are probably going to get. Never thought of Home Depot, will check them out.

There is a place called Montauk Rug and Carpet (I think they have on in Westbury or Carle Place?) and they sell beautiful rugs at great prices. They even haggle $$ down a little if you try. They could be worth a try!

Other than that, maybe overstock.com or cb (the new crate and barrel line that is a little more mod and affordable has a modern style) and target is also a good bet too...Good luck!
