NWR-Who has a 3 day weekend??

I do!
I am already counting down the hours til work is over...This long weekend is well deserved!! Plus my boss is gone til march 1st so that makes it so relaxing!!!

DITTO!!! I LOVE MY JOB!!!

YES! Kids are definitely more difficult to manage right before a vacation. I teach special ed where the kids require a great deal of structure (though all kids do). Our toughest days are Fridays (BEFORE they go home to an unstructured environment), Mondays (AFTER, they come in from an unstructured environment) and before AND after vacations. It is hard for teachers to execute lesson plans when the kids cannot wait to go home and cuddle with their Playstations and X-Box's for a week.

On weekends and holidays and weekdays after 3pm I do not deal with people under 5 feet tall unless related by blood. I know this feeling will change when I have my own children. When you teach, you have to hold back any instinct you have to 'lose it' and maintain your professionalism. People who do not teach often comment on how many vacation days we have and that we have it easy. Try working with kids who spit on you and kick you all day and then tell me I don't need a vacation!!! Don't get me wrong, I love kids aand will work with them for the duration of my career, but I get to leave at 3pm and send them home! I salute all parents!!!

At work I am 100% professional and outside of work, I am a potty mouth. I need a release.

I know what you are going through...My mom has been teaching in special ed for 19 years! I usually go to visit her on Fridays & the kids are wacko! Today especially plus on of the teachers next door to her is getting engaged today & they have all the kids in on it!!1

LOL My students couldnt keep a secret! BIG MOUTHS!!!!

I do love them with all of myheart though. I have had the same 8 kids for 3 years. They are like my babies and they are 11-13 years old.

(And if my boss is nice to me, I'll be having a FOUR DAY weekend - and taking off Tuesday to do all the wedding stuff I want to do with FH)

I do, well I am off Monday, but have to work my 2nd job on Sat!!!! I too am counting down the hours, and I just GOT TO WORK!!!

I am off on Wednesday (Taxes baby!!) and SOOO tempted to call out sick in Tuesday!!

Me too...going to Florida next week

ME ME ME!!! I am so excited! I used to work Sundays, so I would never have a 3 day weekend. But now I alternate between Friday nights and Sundays. So at 10 PM tonight, i will be done for 3 days! YAY!!! I am seriously counting the hours.

We are having a party tomorrow to celebrate my FI's recovery from cancer. One of my BMs is coming from Boston for the party. I cannot wait. FI is so funny and is trying to poke fun at himself, so the party is called 'B.Y.O.N- Bring Your Own Nut!' I have a strange feeling we are going to get a whole boatload of walnuts! Oh how I love my FI!

I'm actually coming to NY for wedding planning with my mom! (I live in VA) Wish me luck on the trip up 95!

no such thing as a three day weekend when you work in the accounting field...in fact I odn't even have a two day weekend.. just Sunday

Technically it's a 3 day weekend, but I have off Tuesday too... so 4 day weekend
