NWR: WHO IS A VET?????

Girls.... I need help with this one.

My dog has been acting very differently the past 2 days. He does not seem sick but I know something is wrong. He is just not himself.
Every day when I come home from work he comes running to me with his cute little tail wagging....he is such a happy little boy. We have a very strong bond... I really think he thinks I'm his Mom. He is always sitting on me and he is always around me.

The past 2 days he has been very different.... hes showing little to no emotion at all. When I came home he didn't even get out of his cage. Hes really weird... When I put his food out he didn't run to it like he normally does....when I left the room, then he ate it. So I know he's hungry I really think it has something to do with me.
Is this possible? That a dog could get upset with their owner. I know this sounds silly but I'm not joking. Its like he wants nothing to do with me.
There have not been any real changes in my house for at least 4-5 months so I cant figure this out.
I made an appointment with the Vet for Monday. They said they are not sure what it is...but If I'm really worried I should bring him in today.
Of course I'm really worried but it doesnt seem like he is sick. My Mom thinks I should wait till monday to see if he gets better. I don't know what to do.
Has this happened to anyone?

My Benny is the same . . . tail wagging when I get home, always happy to see me . . . . When he is alone for too long he absolutely gets upset with me. When we have him boarded he gets truely mad at me. I know I'm going to sound crazy but . . . maybe something happened to upset him. Can you take him to a park or petco or something? Somthing different to make him forget he's upset? (hoping that that's what it is?)

Other than that if he's eating and drinking I think you'l be fine to wait until Monday. Good luck! Keep us posted!

Not a vet, but I have alot of experience with dogs, as my mother has been a breeder of Bernese Mountain dogs almost my whole life. So I've seen alot of trips to the vet.
Have you noticed if he has lost weight? They probably won't do much for you on monday. They are probably going to tell you to keep on eye on him, to see if continues to not eat. That's the biggest factor.
Dogs can get depressed. So I would hold off save yourself the examination fee. Try doing something fun with him today. Continue to observe on Wednesday, if the behavior continues then make an appointment. You'll bring him in, they might order some tests.

Hopefully it's nothing.
