NWR - Why does Passover Kosher food have to taste so bad??

So tomorrow night my FH's mom invited my family over for a first big family seder and we're charged with bringing a dessert that's passover kosher. His mom doesn't keep super kosher, but my mom keeps Passover kosher pretty strictly (meaning if it's not Parve she won't eat it unless it's meat or cheese). It's so frustrating. I hate macaroons, I hate matzoh, I HATE just about all passover kosher food!! AHHHHH!!!! Oh, and to add insult to injury all of the kosher bakeries are closed!! My fellow jewish ladies, am I alone?

Well, I'm off to the super market to hope to find something appetizing in the Passover aisle to bring tomorrow, otherwise we'll have macaroons coming out of our ears.

Hey! Half of my family is jewish so I celebrate passover. My aunt makes all the food and it is all really good! If you are looking for dessert she makes mondal (sp?) bread with cho. chips in it. She just swaps out the flour for matzamel (sp, sorry) and its delish!

If you want I have a recipe for butter brickle matzah...its really easy to make and its DELISH...like chocolate/caramel matza....people devour it at our passover seder.

Also if you can find a flourless chocolate cake at a bakery (doesn't necessarily have to be a kosher one) those are amazing...SOOO rich and yummy!!!

I'm not Jewish but one time i needed to buy a cake and the only place by my job that sold cakes was a deli that sold a chocolate cake that was Kosher and it was delicious. All of my guests ate it and simply loved it!!!It's a deli on Broadway and 37th st,i forgot the name since i no longer work around there.
