I need to vent...

I don't understand why some people are putting 'other' people down when it comes down to pricing..


'Oh.. I would never pay that much for that house, that pair of jeans, those shoes, ,.....'

Is that jealousy? Envy? Or their need of being frugal?

Don't sweat it. I never tell anyone how much anything costs. If you can, play dumb and say you don't remember - that's what I do

Oh... I have the smallest budget of all people here so it's not me personally.

I just read those posts and I always see people b*tching about somebody else decision on shoes, house, jeans...

I vote for pure jealousy, because if they are ot paying for it, what do they care how much you spend. I always get that so I avoid telling people what I spend on anyhting, clothes, rent going out, and expecially my wedding.

I once made th emistake of telling a friend how much I pay for Jeans & to get my hair done, and she always brings it up in front of other people, its sooo annoying!

that's what i do...where did you get that done? i don't remember. who did your hair? i don't remember. what did you pay for that? i don't remember...people get annoyed, but who cares? if i want to spend the money on it, i have the right!

Its either they tell you they wouldn't spend it or they will tell you how you should spend! Ugh! People are never happy.
But you have to look at peoples prioties. If you make a lot money spending over a 6k for handbag because it goes with one dress that you wear once seems perfectly okay.
Othe people won't spend an extra five dollars a month for cable in two rooms. People are weird. I try to avoid money talks.

Well - it depends - I don't understand why people spend so much money on specific things, but then again, I spend money on things other people wouldn't....

I made the mistake of telling my stepmom how much my ripped pair of Lucky Brand jeans were (and I wear them all the time) now - EVERY time she sees me wearing them - she says - 'Are those your million dollar jeans?'

BUT - I got her - I once went to a thrift store and bought a pair of cute ripped jeans for 10 bucks - they were in the adolescent/kid section - and I love them. Funny thing is - you can't tell them a part from the expensive jeans. I wore them once with her, and she said - 'Liza - you have to stop spending all this money on jeans - how much did you pay for those now?

When I told her, I shut her right up!!!!
