NWR - woman gives birth, didn't know she was prego

Not sure about you ladies but I am a PerezHilton.com junkie LOL anyway, he had this story about a female olympic weightlifter who gave birth while training and she had NO idea she was prego.

Seriously - how does that happen?

It happen to my BFF... she found out that she was 9 months prego 10 days before her son was born... It is crazy!!!

There was a show on tv (not to sure what the name or chanell) but these women when to the ER with back pain and came out a mother. How do you carry 9 months and not know?

this one lady when to the bathroom- she was having cramps and she started to push which she though was a BM (bowel movement) and it was a baby-

Like seriuosly??

yeah it's that show 'I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant' on the Discovery Channel. I personally don't understand it either but apparantly it happens

That's crazy!!

I had a friend I went to High School with who didnt know she was pregnant. She found out about a month or so beforehand!

How do you prepare yourself?!

I use to watch that show and I was so freaked out that would happen to me since I always have back pain lol I still take the test everymonth to make sure thank god im not!!

I have 2 kids..don't know how you would not know you were pregnant until you gave birth...what did these ladies think the kicking was

My mom and I watch this show sometimes. My mom is in disbelief that some women wouldn't know they're pregnant. It's really crazy how they don't know but it apparently happens!!

hahahah your like my best friend. She was even on the pill and every month she would get so nervous and still take a test. lol

i saw that story and thought it was nuts!! i also watch that show on tlc and it blows my mind every time i see it. each story just gets crazier and crazier!!!

I'm crashing to respond to this!

When I was pregnant last year I kept telling the dr I *knew* I was pregnant. I had all these signs and symptoms and like, I just knew and he kept telling me the symptoms were endocrine related and I wasn't. I never once got a positive test, it was confirmed when we lost it at eleven weeks. The doctor had no explanation for me other than that my numbers didn't trigger a positive.

That show is crazy!!! Most of those women don't gain much weight or really have symptoms. I remember being a teenager and reading a magazine article about a girl who didn't know she was pregnant. She thought she had to go to the bathroom and a baby came out!!! I was freaked for a while!!!

Im also on the pill and he usually wears protection but sometimes I miss a day and I once heard that if you miss a day or dont take it at the same time that the pill is only like 89% effective. I dont know how true that is but I dont wanna be the one to find out

I work per diem as a Labor & Delivery nurse and trust me we see it quite often. It mostly happens to women who are overweight with irregular cycles. They don't get regular periods so they don't even realize their period is late. The extra cushion around the midsection can camaflouge the baby's growth. I recently had a patient who came in because she miscarried at 18 wks and she didnt even know she was pregnant. Imagine taking a shower feeling pain, and then a baby comes out of you!!!!

Yes that show makes me worry every month!!!! I want to get married first!! lol Did anyone see the episode where the woman thought she was just taking a poop and ended up giving birth in the toilet!!!! CRAZY!!!
My cousin actually didn't know she was pregnant until she was 6 months along. She had an irregular cycle to begin with and that just kind of continued even when she was pregnant. Her only clue was that she was dieting but wasn't losing weight (she wasn't gaining either though). The way she kind of finally figured out she was pregnant was that her sister (who was also pregnant at the time) touched her stomach, and what she thought were gas pains, her sister suggested that it was a baby kicking. As a side note, they ended up giving birth the same day, hours apart, in the same hospital across the hallway from one another. it was amazing!
