Okay so FH just runs up to me 'We won! We won the cruise from the bowling alley!' So he makes me call this # to get the details (which took a half hr), I look it up online and its a 7hr cruise to and from the bahamas from Ft Lauderdale and then a 4 day 3 night stay at the bell channel hotel. I've never heard of the hotel but I looked up the cruise line and the reviews were awful so I tell him its a no go and they want us to pay $100 to get the package sent to us. He starts complaining like 'Lets just do it we need a vacation, its probably nice' (bc i told him we arent taking another cruise until our HM which is 2 yrs away) So I said no i'm not getting ripped off and he says 'Ask your LIW girls, you listen to them, they'll to tell you to take the free cruise' and now hes mad and won't talk to me. Its kind of funny but he's so annoying sometimes UGH! How do I make him understand its a scam?

Anything 'free' is usually a scam. Even if it's not do you really want to stay somewhere that got bad reviews.

If you win something, you shouldn't have to pay to get it. That is a major, major sign of a scam.

I got this too. They are trying to sell you a vacation time share. If you read the fine print you have to go to the sales pitch.

I won a cruise a few months ago... I just had to pay for it. Correction: Pay for the cruise + their fees + flight + everything else.
I was not very happy..

this is true, port fees, and since they are duty free taxing you have to pay taxes before you go as well..

FH and I got a call too (my posts are somewhere on the boards). And it ended up just being a headache....so we never went tothe sales pitch. We were going to end up paying money anyway...and for that i rather just book my own trip...LIKE I DID LAST WEEK, YAY!
