I feel like an idiot. I let my emotions get the best of me. I cried to my supervisor. And now I just feel super dumb. She was understanding. I didnt do anything wrong...I just ended up in a bad situation- bad timing.
I'm just hoping I'm not the only person who's ever cried at work.Please tell I'm not an emotional mess.

I have... but no one's ever seen me b/c my back is towards everyone. I'll be damned if I let people see me cry here. It's different if you are close with the people you work with though.
I'd have no prob. crying in front of the people from the DJ company.

Yeah, i've cried at work more than once ... but nobody ever saw me, as far as i know.

Yes i have a couple of times. Its awkward and you feel stupid but sometimes, you just can't control it. Don't stress about it, I am sure your supervisor understands and you're probably not the only person that this has happened to.

Yes - last summer when I found out a procedure that my Dad had in the hospital didn't go as planned, so when I went to my boss to ask if I could leave asap to get to the hospital I was def crying.

Im a teacher too and cried yesterday (not the first time either!). Im at a new school this year and I HATE IT. I couldnt take this one class. When my CTT (co teacher for special ed ) came in, I said I had to go to the bathroom and left and cried and called FH. I just can't take it.
You're not an emotional mess. I have done this a handfil of times.

Yes, I cried once at work, outside on the phone to FH but it was because of stuff that was going on at work...It's okay honey, don't feel dumb, it's obvious it upset you and you do not have to apologize for having emotions. If you feel really really bad, just go to your supervisor and say you apologize if you made him/her feel uncomfortable but that you were just overwhelmed but I don't even think that's necessary.

Yes, I found out my cat was really sick and then I got into a car accident (actually someone accused me of hitting them when I didn't at all) about 5 minutes before I meeting.
I was sitting quietly and was fine, but then my boss asked what was wrong and I started crying. I felt silly, but I'm not like that ever so I just forgot about it.

Yes, I have cried more than once at work, I can't help it. I know it's unprofessional but I am a BIG cryer. And I have cried in front of co-workers.
The last time I cried was during my annual review, I got so frustrated with my work life that I burst into tears halfway through my review. Talk about embarrassing. But my supervisor was understanding and it really did not affect anything ... just shook it off and kept going.

I cried once at work to my boss and he said he loved that I felt comfortable enough to do that in front of him.

At my current job I have cried at my desk on a few occassions. But never over anything work related.
At my previous job, the last 3 months where torture for me, so I would spend part of everyday crying in the bathroom.

I have cried; once at my old job when my grandmother died I cried in front of one of my co-workers. And then at my new job, but I ran to the bathroom before anyone could see. I almost cried yesterday at work about our apartment search but I controlled myself.

I have. At my job it's very easy to let the stress get to you. We've all had our moments where we cry in our cubicles. One girl was crying once and my boss had no idea what to do, so he ran and got her a box of tissues
