NWR- Work Vent

I don't usually do this but I'm fuming right now and I need to get it off my chest!!

So i have to do a presentation tomorrow for one of my clients. I took the powerpoint home and made notes like I normally do.... I go into my bosses office to have her take a look at the notes and see if I'm missing anything... she then tells me that she wants me to go thru and practice presentation as if she's my client. I was floored. I was like really?? ReallY?? It's one thing if you want me to go thru my notes and critique me on what I'm saying but I don't think that I'm at the point in my career where I need to be like 'hello, my name is...'

I'm just really insulted and feel like I was being treated like a child.

I'm sorry - is this the first time you're doing a presentation with a client? Maybe she just wants to do a quick test run.

Not at all! That's why I'm so annoyed hahaha. She just got back from a 6 month maternity leave and is trying to gain back ground. It's really obnoxious.

Sorry, I don't think there's any reason to be insulted. She asked you to run it by her? No biggie. She probably wanted to see how the whole presentation would sound. Maybe offer some constructive criticism.
