Ok, I've been trying to work out every other morning, BUT I love my sleep and I see my FH all warm and cozy and makes me want to stay there with him!!!
I thought maybe working out in the morning is better.
At night I come home, cook, check homework, clean kitchen by the time I'm done I'm exhausted and not even thinking about working out. Plus I like to relax and watch a little TV and spend quality time with FH.
When do you work out? and why? Is it really better to work out in the am as opposed to the pm.
Thanks ladies. I guess I just need some motivation.

Re: NWR: Working out.
I'm like you, I see FH laying there in the morning all cozy in bed and there's no way I'm working out, I'd rather spend some time under the covers. After work I'm exhausted so I do what I have to do and then relax and watch some TV. FH doesn't come home until 11:30, so now that I'm rested I work out a lil before he gets home. This way I get to relax and I get some time to work out, plus it makes me feel good and wakes me up a little more to greet FH.

Re: NWR: Working out.
No matter how hard I try, I just can't work out in the morning...I've even laid out a workout outfit right next to the bed to motivate myself, but it's just not happening. I love sleep too much. I always work out right when I get home from work....I am a night person and it just makes the most sense for me.

Re: NWR: Working out.
I wish I could get up in the morning to work out. I usually work out after work, but if I have a busy week then i try to go once in the morning to free up my night

IMO, anytime you can get to the gym is a good time.
Personally, I go after work 3x a week.

Re: NWR: Working out.
I go straight from work, pack my gym bag in the morning and keep it in the car. If you go to a gym DO NOT go home first!!

Re: NWR: Working out.
I go after work- usually around 7:30... I get up at 6:15 as it is, if I went in the morning I would have to go at 5am... which just isn't happening.

Re: NWR: Working out.
I go whenever I can. After work usually works out the best, but if I know I will have to work late, I squeeze in a cardio session at lunch.
funny enough, I actually got up and went this morning. It wasn't as bad as I thought- I was actually more energetic, but I am feeling it now.
Aida, as a working mother it is probably very difficult for you to stick to a certain time of day. Now what I do is look at each day individually and ask 'how can I squeeze the gym in' and take it from there. locking yourself into a time that is unrealistic for your daily hectic life will set you up to disappoint yourself.
day by day luv!

Re: NWR: Working out.
I work out in the morning before I go to work which unfortunately means I have to be up at 5:00am. It can definitely be hard, especially in the winter when it's cold and dark, but if I wait until after work, I'd never do it. I'm so tired after working and then driving home for an hour, all I want to do is eat dinner and relax.

Re: NWR: Working out.
I work out in the evening - I can barely get myself out of bed to go to work, so I definetly couldn't do it any earlier to go to the gym. I usually don't go until 8 or 9 at night b/c my gym gets really crowded after work.

Re: NWR: Working out.
I work out in the mornings all the time. I seem to have more motivation then, I guess because I don't want to shower twice and I know I'll never go if I put it off. I try to make the gym my first stop, so no excuses! I don't know if night or morning is better for any reason, I think it's more preference! What about stopping at the gym before going home at night? That might help!

Re: NWR: Working out.
I take a kick boxing class on Saturday mornings. I have an elliptical machine at home (thank goodness) so I do that 3 times a week after work. I tried to work out on week day mornings, but I found it too easy to make excuses.
