a co-worker of FI's invited a bunch of people from his work to her house for BBQ today, and none of the significant others are invited.... and I thought that is pretty rude, eventhough I have errants to run today (and I am doing it by myself!) and can't go anyways.. why would someone invite their co-worker to their house on a WEEKEND and not invite any of their sig. others?
... feel free to tell me that I am overreacting, but I am a little ticked!

i don't think you're overreacting - but if she invites all the employees and so, that would be a lot of people. maybe she just wants to get to know her employees better? but i know i'd feel the same way if that happened to me

it's not his boss, just a co-worker... IMO it's just rude to invite someone without their sig. others on a weekend.. they already see each other for 10 hours, 5 days a week, do you have to hang out on a weekend too?

I think that's dumb too. why bother having a party if you can't invite everyone you should???
