ok.... so you're parents own a house down on the outer banks in north carolina. they offer you and your friends the house for a week in the summer- not for free, but almost. the house sleeps 12 people MAX- BUT, you have a group of 20 friends from high school that you are close to and see on a regular basis- so, obviously, not everyone in the group is going to be able to stay in the house... how would handle it?

I would invite all 20 (maybe via email or something) and say that the house only sleeps 12. I'd then say that, to be fair, the rooms/beds will go on a first come/first served basis - whichever 12 people respond to the email first will get to stay in the house.

I would 1st Take a poll from all your friends, see who can come & see who can't .. Then if you have all 20 girls try and find a near by hotel for a few girls to share a room..

I would send out an e-mail to everyone about the house, but tell them it is first come first serve. Most likely not all 20 will be able to come anyway.

ok... just wanted to check because the way i handled it was to invite people as i saw them- then i figured that some of those people wouldn't be able to go, so then i would invite the next people, etc..... BUT, it happened that the first 12 people i talked to/invited were able to come, so i wasn't able to invite the whole group..... and now the people i didn't get to invite are finding out about it and are upset that they can't go..... BUT, with the personalities in this group, even if i had suggested that some people rent another house nearby, it would have been arguing over who would stay in my parents house for cheap, and who would have to pay full rent at another house.... it was just a tough situation all around, and i'm feeling bad.... but, there really wasn't much i could do, besides telling my parnets to get a bigger house- LOL

That sounds like a good idea to me. Theres probably a good chance that not every one will be able to go. Maybe you could even share room sin teh house.
