NWR: Yoga At Home

NWR: Yoga At Home

Hi Ladies!

I get easily stressed out and am prone to anxiety so I have gone back to my yoga routines lately due to all the stress that I've had in order to help relax!

I've been going ON DEMAND for my yoga sessions, but unfortunately they only have 2 sessions. Can anyone recommend either a video or a program that I can use at home? I'm open to any kind of yoga, as long as it's toward the beginner/mid level.

thanks!!!

I have anxiety and stress too- not fun. Have you tried running? Or taking a brisk walk outside? This totally works for me! As for the yoga- there are so many tapes out there. You can go to BlockBuster and rent some and see which ones you like before buying them.

You are so smart!!!! Thank you!

Yeah, it is SO not fun! Taking walks definitely helps me too! I usually take my dog for a walk. Breathing techniques also helped me A LOT but I can't afford to go to yoga classes right now--they are WAY too expensive.

Do you change your diet in any way to help alleviate stress?

I am a stress bunny as well..anxiety is my middle name. I do yoga for this reason before i go to bed and when I wake up. (i haven't been real good about it but i know once school starts i will be back!) I use a dvd called 'yoga for stress relief' I really like it. Its very easy, soothing and relaxing. It has all different sorts of stress related issues: neck and shoulder pain, headaches, lower back pain, stomach and digestive issues, troubled sleep, depression etc. I really love it

Awww stress bunny--I like that!!

That's awesome that you do it 2x a day! I am definitely going to look into this! Do you feel like you get a workout too though or is it strictly meditation?

I changed my diet but not to target my stress issues. I just eat high protein low carb. I drink coffee but not as much as I used to because it does make me anxious.
