NWR:5 years ago

Today my brother passed away. They say time heals, but really I feel it hasn't. It seems each year gets harder and harder.
So glad I have all these wonderful memories tho. He lived such a hard life, but always had great optimism no matter the situation.

I know the feeling, it really never does go away, but like you said it's so nice to have memories that you can always remember them by.

I really understand where you are coming from. I lost my sister 19 years ago and it gets a bit easier to cope but you never get over it.

I agree. I think about my grandfather every day it seems. He was such an important part of my life and shaped me into the person I am.

Remembering the good times is really important.

I know how you feel my brother passed away 8 years ago, its a tough thing to deal with, but I just try and remember all the good times we shared together to get me outta the 'dark'

Im so sorry I can't agree with the saying time heals.. I dont feel like it does either..I lost my godmother a few years ago and I was so close with her. It tore me apart... Now more than ever its harder because I think of her not being at my wedding I know she will be there in spirit but it still hurts.. Im sorry for what you are going thru and Im sending lots of hugs!!
