NWR:Anyone done herbalife?

My hair dresser did it and has lost 14lbs in about a month, so just wanted to see who else may have done it and their results. tks

ETA:I'm going to stick with WW but was just wondering about herbalife since my hairdresser was raving about it. Thanks girls for the input.

Re: NWR:Anyone done herbalife?

I remember people doing herbalife years ago, and it was A LOT of pills to take in a day..

As an alternative,
I will say, one of my coworkers, who's getting married this summer, lost 15 pounds on Weightwatchers.com, and doing a series of workout DVD's called P90x..when I tell you she looks amazing....its an understatement.

She looks so good that I joined WW online last night.

The pills are supposed to be all natural to clean your system and keep you full so they say.

I think it's worth a try, but with pills and supplements, It's very likely when you stop taking them, you gain the weight back. I've seen it happen. Not necesarily with Herbalife, but other systems that were very similar.

What I've learned through my years of yo yo dieting is the calories in, calories out, and exercise are the sure fire way. And eating 5-6 small things a day to keep your metabolism moving. I have yet to find a magic pill, and believe me, I've tried them ALL..

Let us know how you do!

ITA!! I feel like ive tried it all and the only thing that works is dieting and exercising for me.

I had a client who did herbalife and lost a ton of weight (she even wore a pin with her before pic on it everywhere she went!) She was not a skinny mini afterwards but she was thinner. She was probably obese and now she is healthy. I believe she sells it as well.

I'm not sure if i want to do it just wanted some input from girls that may have done it. I'm on WW and am not losing as much as i would like to. If i exercise or not i still dont lose alot or nothing at all some weeks. I also eat pretty good during the week only splurge on saturdays so i really don't know what else to do.

I think if you're already on WW and not seeing the results you want, try the herbalife in addition to what your already doing....at this point it couldn't hurt, ya know?

I'm on WW now too and not losing as much as I'd like but I know why... I'm not following it exactly. Do you count everything you eat? EVERYTHING???? Do you just guess what points values some things are or lie and give them a lower point value? Are you really measuring thing correctly? I know that you need to do all of those and be diligent about following WW's guidelines and then it does work!

I lost over 25 pounds in the past because I took it seriously and did everything I should have. Are you eating two dairies a day? I find that when I do that and the oil I lose a lot more.

Stick with it and do it correctly and it will work!

I did herbalife...my mom was a seller...I dont think it is worth it. Eating healthy, balanced foods and exercise is the only way to do it and keep it off..there is no such thing as a healthy quick fix!

I did WW and when I splurged on the weekends, I was just gaining back whatever I lost during the week. If you want to see results, you really need to do it everyday and maybe just splurge on a treat, not a whole day.

Yup i measure, weigh, have the point value book and use the tracker if i have the dietary facts in front of me. I had lost 30 pounds and now gained 20 back . I drink milk in the morning and have a WW yogurt for my daily dairy intake.I limit my oil because my cholesterol was kind of high the last time i checked it so my doctor told me i have to limit my oils.

Wow, that's so hard to believe that you're not losing and doing everything right. You should speak to your meeting leader.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! I did it one summer, I HATED it so much and its expensive.

Your much better off with WW or something else, anything else.

Don't do Metabolife either, when I did that in college I lost a ton of weight and I went out drinking one night and my heart rate rose so fast I could hear it. Its freaky. My friend ended up in the hospital from it.

I lost 30 lbs on WW and kept it off. One of the keys to continue to lose is to stick to it. And if you are losing even 1 lbs then you are on the right track. you are not supposed to be losing more than 1-2 per week if you really want to keep it off. Also stay away from the WW foods. Stick with what I call real food, veggies, meats....stay away from pre-packaged (even if its WW) The pre-packaged a lot of times if high in salt and many time not balanced correctly.

you may benefit from a nutritionist instead of spending money on a quick fix like herbalife. Because its all about learning how to eat

Re: NWR:Anyone done herbalife?

i dont know anyone who did metabolift. but i did ww and it did work. its just a lot of work to put togther the meals and figure out the points and what not. it started to feel like a 2nd job to me and that was bothering me in a big way. so i switched over to jenny craig. i love it! i lost about 14 lbs the first month i did it. i havent been able to weight myself because im away right now but when i get back im really hoping to have lost some more.
js is a lot like ww but they give you the food so there really isnt any thought process involved. you do have to add in fresh fruits and veggies though. and the food they give you is really good! wayyy better than any othe diet company that supplies food! ive tried just about every diet out there!!!! i do love jc. all diets are expensive but if you lose the weight then its well worth it in my opinion.

this is great advice...stay away from the packaged foods even though they are easy! Veggies, veggies veggies and lean meats with good carbs (ie oatmeal, brown rice etc) and you are set! Of course exercise is a must!
