My GI doctor suggested that my pain might be due to this and of course I am obsessing over it...also pissed that my GYN never suggested this all the times I thought I might have a cyst!

I was diagnosed last year, but i never had any pain. I went for a gyno visit and they found cysts. FM me if you want

I don't have it but I am prone to ovarian cysts. I believe you should go to your GYN and have them verify if it is. I would not worry too much about what the GI doc says because that's not their area to even speculate..
One of my Aunt has very bad endometriosis and I remember her complaining in the past of VERY bad periods with extreme cramps..
I would just make an appt. with your gyn and ask them to check you out to relieve your concerns.

One of my college roommates had endometriosis. She was able to get it under control (and get rid of the pain associated with it) by going on the pill.

One of my friend has it. She is getting the shots as a birth control. It usually stops your periods as well, which was the goal for her since the bleeding at that time is making the pain very intolerable.
She also had laser surgery a couple of time to 'cautorize' it with the laser. They went through her belly button. It was really helping her.

A work friend had a horrbile case of this. It caused her a lot of period and she was bleeding like crazy during her periods. They put her on BC to control it and she has laser surgery as well.

Now I was put on BC about 6 years ago because my doctor thought I had cysts...does BC help it??
