Hey Girls... I am helping to plan a baby shower for my cousin and I am putting together one of those clotheslines with all of the baby clothes. Here is my question.... have any of you ever put together one of these clotheslines? If so, how many articles of clothing do you think I need? Also, what did you transport it in? A hamper? And did you use an actual clothesline to pin it on? Any help or even pictures would be appreciated!!!

Re: NWR:Baby Shower clothesline
I've seen it, maybe 25 outfits, onesies, bibs, etc. And yes, it was real clothesline and came in a hamper the mom registered for. HTH

I've done that before. I put maybe three or four outfits, a few receiving blankets and lots of socks spaced out. Then I put it in a large bag with the two ends sticking out of both sides of the bag.

i seen it at a shower and it was on an actually clothes line with those big blue or pink pins i would put some bibs, onsies, and some sleepers i think those are the most important clothes for a newborn (maybe 5 each )

Thanks everyone!!
Here is my next question... should it be hanging when she comes in or should it be opened with the gifts?

Re: NWR:Baby Shower clothesline
I've seen it done both ways.
At my friends, they stacked the clothes in a gift bag, so when she pulled one out, they just kept coming, it was really cute.
Another shower I went to, they hung it up behind her chair almost like decoration, which was also adorable.

at my cousin's shower they had a clothesline, they actually had onesies in different sizes and had each guest draw on it and hung it up, it was super cute!

you can do it either way...i like what the OP said about taking it out of the bag and it just keeps coming out...or you can use it as a decorative piece as well
