I know it's not Memorial Day yet, but does that rule still apply? I am picking out my outfit for work tomorrow and I wanna wear a white sweater over my shirt since it will be chilly! Is that totally breaking a fashion rule?

A white sweater is fine. The 'no white' rule mainly applies to shoes and bags, I think.

well isn't there 'winter white' and summer white? LOL I have a turtleneck sweater I wore a few times this winter. Why would Guess make a white turtleneck if your not soposed to wear it??

Are you serious???? Do you really care about this Labor day rule???? I wear white outfits esp in the Spring and mid-winter. You stand out with everyone else wearing black.

1) i NEVER understood that rule...i always used to wonder who even invented it
2) i NEVER follow it either, i think its so silly when my mom is like, i cant believe your wearing white before labor day!!!!????

I always thought it applied mostly to shoes and bags, but honestly, no one follows it anymore. Wear what you feel comfortable in. Thats all that matters.

I think it's really for shoes and pants....unless, of course, it's winter white. Or, to heck with the rule and go crazy!
