Have the same reaction to Football as they do Hockey? When FH is watching football he screams at the TV and jumps around the house when his team gets a touchdown......... Hes watching the Ranger game now and is doing pretty much the same thing!!

Mine does!
He used to play hockey, so he's very into the games. But he's a much more dedicated football fan.

mine too! i am trying to do work and he keeps shouting and giving me the updates on the rangers! he's leaving to play his own hockey game in a little bit...then maybe i'll get some work done

my FH just glances at the screen and walks away when he sees (american) football or hockey....
Now, if it was (soccer) football.... well then I've lost him to the game...

Lol, yep. Whenever the Islanders, Giants, or Mets are on, I don't even have to watch the game to know what's going on. It's especially bad when UConn is playing (any sport!). Then the yelling really starts!

definitely!!!!! sometimes I think its worse with hockey!!! he's an Islanders fan....which is funny b/c we're in Queens...not sure why he's not into the Rangers, I guess it was that Islanders dynasty they had goin' back in the early 80's!! lol....he's also a huge Mets & Jets fan- so I get tortured ALL YEAR LONG!!!!!

OH yes!! FH goes crazy.. you would think the outcome of his teams affects our life. LOL he loves his sports!! a little too much sometimes i wonder if he is just as crazy about me. LOL JK

FH could care less about hockey but he is an INSANE Yankee fan to the point that his mood is dictated by a Yankee win or loss. Not looking forward to Spring!

My FH gets like that with any sport --- he's even gotten me to be like that with football (sometimes I'm worse than him!)

Mine does. Huge NY Rangers fan and he still plays hockey. I have gotten used to him yelling at the tv.

This is a GREAT THREAD! Yes, I yell at the tv, and FW would be happy for me to tell you she is occasionally a sports widow (she's only into baseball, and is a Mets fan, so she doesn't usually have baseball to watch in October (OH SNAP!) ) and that she doesn't understand why we all yell at the tv. Yankees, Giants, Rangers... I like the knicks and the liberty too, but but not as in to b-ball as the other sports. And yes, I yell at the tv during liberty games too.
The best of it is I've been watching hockey for 18 years or so now, and originally, my family couldn't STAND IT. And now, they watch the rangers religiously!
