NWR...FFIL is in the hospital...UPDATED!!!

GREAT NEWS! Poppy had stones...not cancer! He needs to have his gall bladder removed. FH and I just got back from seeing him at Brookhaven. He's groggy from the anesthesia and hungry (he hasn't eaten since Saturday morning)...he'll be in the hospital for a few more days. Just wanted to share the great news! We're all very relieved!!! Thank you all for the prayers and kind words!!! You're wonderful!!!

He's been having chronic hiccups for months now that have been getting progressively worse to the point that he can't eat. Last night they got so bad he was vomitting and got jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) and he passed out and was taken to Brookhaven ER by ambulance. Tests show he could have problems with his liver or pancreas. His liver isn't enlarged, thank God. His skin is starting to return to normal. His blood work is coming back abnormal. Tomorrow he'll have more extensive testing done. It could be stones, it could be cancer...they don't know yet. Get this...he's been in a room in the ER since yesterday and they don't think he'll have a REAL room for about 6 days!!! AND my FMIL is an RN!!!

Please say a little prayer for 'Poppy'!!! Thanks all!

Hooray! I am so happy that things turned out well for you. Thank God that 'Poppy' will be ok and that he is cancer free... I am really glad to hear that your news was not as bad as you were imagining ...

I've posted on here before asking for prayers for my FFIL, and the ladies on here are SO terrific.. I truly believe the power of prayer really works, it did with my FFIL

Again - I'm thrilled everything turned out well!!

he will be fine and you all get thur this and will get better. I lost my future father in law last week and we are getting married in 8 months He will be fine God bless you.
