NWR...Highlites or No

Okay so I have highlites now and its time to get my roots done. How many people would get their hair highlited OR just get it colored so that it is all one color? Im going Friday for a haircut (or should I say trim) and I want to do something differnt that would make me look purdy.

Any suggestions?

I used to highlight my hair all the time. (light blond/medium blond over dark blond almost brown) It was a pain maintianing it but I liked it better so it was worth the extra money and time. I only color one color now... it's alright (better time and money) but I think I want to go back to highlights. I think it is all a matter of preference.

I've had one color all my life and I'm going in 2 weeks for highlights...as they say, the grass is always greener on the other side

I say go for what makes you happy. You also have a ton of time that you can try it plain and if you like it better with the highlights, you can go back to that for the wedding.

I had highlights a real long time ago, I got them and said I would never do it again. I like my hair all one color.

Do what makes you happy, if you like highlights the that is what you should do.

I've been getting highlights and lowlights for 4 years now. Prior to that I always dyed it lighter, but my roots become more apparent sooner, and with the highlights it's not as obvious. I wanted to go with my natural color, but my hair would be mousy and I prefer a lighter color with my skin tone. If you're willing to put the time and $$$ to maintain it, go with the highlights.
