Haha....FH told me this morning that he was looking for flights from Japan because he is coming home for Christmas.
Well he said the first flight he saw was $6,000!!!!! Can you believe that!! And then he found another flight that was the cheapest for $1350. I think that is just crazy. So he said this year for Christmas everyone is getting a card with a picture of him in it saying 'YAH I am home for Christmas- that is your present this year'

Flight prices are RIDICULOUS!
My FSIL and her FH live in NC but are planning their wedding in upstate NY (Albany) because that's where they're from (FH grew up up there) so they have to come up at least 1 time every 2 months... the last time they flew up it cost them $800 EACH to fly into Albany Int'l... Crazy!!!

Flights to and from Japan are always expensive--especially during holiday time since it's peak time. The $1350 flight is pretty cheap...usually you can't get anything for less than $1100 at that time of the year.

yeah it s*cks but seems about right, the $1350 isnt bad its their average price...my family overseas gets mad at us that we dont go often, uhmmm in the summer the plane ticket alone is around $1500-2000, then not to mention all the other expenses, its crazy and s*cks that its the average price for flights, sorry

yeah i know it does s uck!! but what can you do. and then he starts complaining that the flight is 19 hours. but i told him i didnt care because i need to see him before he leaves for iraq haha i know i should selfish but he doesnt want me to come to Japan because he wants to see his family over the holidays so he has tocome home haha

Tell him not to wait too long, otherwise, the prices go up A LOT. He should also try to talk to some travel agents who do a lot of Asian-American business because they might be able to get you a deal. My family flies over to Asia about once a year and they usually get a better deal with the Asian travel agents than they do on-line.

oo thanks i will let him know. i was thinking he should talk to a travel agent but then just figured nah since its only for a flight. but now that you say that i will tell him!!!
