NWR..I so wanna decorate for the holidays NOW!

Anyone else really anxious to decorate their house for the holidays?

I know its before TG and all, but I want to drag my decorations up from the basement NOW.

I have to decorate for Aaron for Chanukah so I think I will do it all the day after TG

Its a tradition in my house to put up all xmas decor on xmas eve. We ALWAYS put a real tree up. It makes the house smell sooo good, like xmas!!!!!

i am so excited to decorate and everything for christmas. but thanksgiving is my fav holiday so i have to give that attention first.

but i still live at home so my parents really dont start decorating until about the second week in dec i guess. my mom has to beg my dad to put up the outside christmas lights. and then she starts decorating the inside of the house but we dont get our tree until like dec 15 or so because of how quickly fake trees die. so that is not up until around the middle of dec.

but i was tlaking with fh the other day and saying how i am excited for xmas this year bec of our wedding and he reminded me that this year is not our wedding it will be a year till our wedding haha but i am jus so excited to get ideas for our wedding!!!!

yeah- def with a real tree- you cant do it too soon. my family does theirs 2 weeks before too.

i cant be bothered with the real tree and my friend gate me this nice fake one so im using that until we get a house

when my parents were first married, my mom tried to put up a fake tree and my dad kept taking it down. He worked nights so she would come home from work and the tree would be down and she's put it back up. It was taken down and put back up about 3 times until she caved in and got a real tree. We have had real ever since. its a big thing in my family

WELL Its not just the tree, just hard with the wedding coming up but i hope i get into the christmas spirit soon, sometimes im weird about this and dont get into it lol

fake trees are evil

i know- they dont smell nice

but its so easy, FH will freak out if i spend $50 on a real one though

I'm for sure excited to get some decorations up but I've been in such a mood to just sit and watch christmas movies in front of the fire and drink hot chocolate! Corny I know!!

my brother is on the roof right now.................. ths is what my house looked like last year...............
this year we got a whole set up of lights that go to music!!! i cant wait for it to be set up!!!

My best friend is about to give birth any day now and her entire house is done. She freaked she wouldnt be able to get it done with the baby around.

me too!! We usually do it Thanksgiving weekend, but b/c I have you hoes coming on the 1st, I have to wait.... my tree takes up too much room!

Okay, so i'm a total hypocrite.
I hate that stores play christmas music so early, i get sick when i see decorations up in the malls so early. i yell at houses that are decorated so early when i pass by them.

however, i've been listening to and singing christmas music since the last week of October. I've already started buying decorations for our apartment and have placed a few around already.(they are all penguins though so no one thinks of them as christmas in my home lol)

i want a tree up NOW NOW NOW.

however, my family tradition is to put the tree up the weekend after my birthday. So i have a few weeks to go yet.

I love christmas! and decorating!! i feel the same way..when you think about it ..its really NOT THAT EARLY to decorate...the day after thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season right?...well thanksgiving is only really a week away..
