i think that if the interview is going well there is no reason why you can't initiate talk about the working hours. for intense at my job everyone's working hours are different. some people work 9-5, others work 10-6 & i choose to work 8:00-4:30. when i had my interview i just said that i prefer to begin my day at 8 because by 4:00 i am so exhausted. obviously my boss understood.

I think it depends on the office. When we interview people, that is usually one of our questions - are you in school, what are you studying? If they are studying something out of the finance field, we ask why they are interested in this job. It depends on their goals and reasoning for studying outside of our field. I would most likely not hire them just because we don't want to have to hire someone and then they will leave in a year and we will have to go through the interview process again. It just takes time to train someone, have them get used to the job and the people they work with. Not sure how other offices work though, but that's just my opinion. Hope this helps. I would be honest with them though because you don't want to start the job and then start telling them you have school and need to leave early.
