thank god dh keeps me sane. my parents still don't have power in florida. my dad so wull restoration won't come until nov 20. i'm worried of how they'll eat...like with food. dh says they'll be okay. i'm also worried for my 85 yr old grandmother. she needs to eat. i call them every morning to see how they're doing.

gail - I understand what you're dealing with. My mother and my grandmother are also in south florida without any power. I told my grandmother that at least she will be up here next Friday for my wedding the following weekend. But they're probably going to go home after my wedding to no electricity soon.

thanks girls. i was just telling my dad today that thank god my wedding isn't this weekend. i think i would be a basket case. i know they'll be ok but when you're so far its hard not too worry

Gail - I don't know where your parents live, but I was talking to my mother tonight and she said that alot of areas around her (she's in Delray Beach) have started to get their power back. She still doesn't have power, but they are hoping that it will be only be a matter of time and not as long as people are saying it will be.

I know exactly where that is! My mother lived there before moving to her current condo (which is still in Delray).
