If any of you have gone on interviews lately, is it best to tell them during the interview that you have your honeymoon/vacation (however you phrase it) planned) for the upcoming year? I was thinking this since some places don't let you use vacation time until you're accured it but others it's not a problem.
I'm not.... I think there is still plenty of time. So no need to sabatoage a potential interview yet.... if it was 4 or more months away or so yea then I would mention it.

i wouldn't, you don't want to lose out on a potential job! last year i had already planned a trip to a destination wedding when i got a new job. I was not entitled to vacation time for 3 months after hire, but they let me take the time anyway, just unpaid... so you never know!

I don't think I would come out and tell them. It wouldn't really be effetcing them. Even with the honeymoon, I was going to word it as a vacation. I'm sure if I got watever job it was when they see the ring, once I started working there they would figure it out lol. I wore my ring on my last one and nonone said anything.
I really don't thing it matters this far away.

What if they don't give you the time off???
I wouldn't say anything until they have actually hired you. At this point you could complete your 6 month probationary period and get your HM without having to say a word so early.
I would not say anything until I was working there for a little while.
Dont say anything - it might make them think you're more concerned with taking time off than doing your job!
