Actually, no I do not have a degree. I have been a hairstylist/hair assistant for the past 6 years. I wasn't a beauty school drop out but a college drop out. Unfortunately for me that I no longer want to do that type of work.

I work for a bank.... in the Training Department. But I know the branches are ALWAYS hiring. Some banks pay more than others. But you can go into any branch with a resume and either get set up for another interview or to take an aptitude test. The turnover rate in banks is unbelievable. I know some banks are having problems right now.. my bank is totally safe. I work for Capital One Bank.

I am so sorry to hear this. Just keep sending resumes out there and you will find something. FH lost his job 3 times in 6 months last year and now he works for a really great company that loves him and already has plans for a raise and a promotion. So don't give up! You will find something!

i understand my fh got laid off about 2 months ago and he has been applying everywhere even if it is not in his field. he decided to go back to school. it is definitely a hard situation, i think the best thing is to let it settle for a week and really think about what it is you want to do and how you can go about doing it. everything happens for a reason it just may not seem so at the time. good luck with everything and keep us updated!
