NWR..needed to vent

I am miserable at my job...I have been there for almost 2.5 years and given them more than they deserve and all I get is crapped on. With my wedding 7 months away and payments due and apartment hunting I am afraid to quit and try to find another job with a decent salary with todays economy but this place is sure to be the death of me. I come home every day feeling miserable wanting to break down and cry.... It's terrible! I am too smart for this place! I just feel stuck... Sorry....I just want February to come.....

I am...theres just no money out there....I went to school for communications and used to work in the tv industry but have been out way to long to start over...money just wouldnt cut it. I am now an accouting manager...bookkeeping/office manager and stuff like that...its hard to find a good salary while staying on long island....Dont want to go to the city. Thats why my current job has me stuck...decent money is all that has kept me there....

Start looking for a new job BEFORE you leave your current one. The job market is tough right now and with your wedding 7 months away it is better to have a job you hate than no job at all. Look at your current job as a way to pay for your wedding expenses and try not to let them get you down. I know this is really hard to do. If you need to vent we are all here for you!

I'm sorry you're so unhappy at work, that *****, totally. I've been there, believe me. But, you will be superstressed if you're not bringing home any money while you're planning and either you'll regret it, or take a job you really don't want just to make some cash.

I would say, as much as it ***** being there, look at it as 'a means to an end' and get through the wedding and make a new start in your career then . . . . you'll be glowing from the wedding and everyone will want to hire you!!

I totally could have written the same post, WORD FOR WORD. I am so miserable at my job too,, It pains me each day to go there, and I have to stop myself from walking out that door for good every day. I do so much work, run circles around other employees there, and my 'increase' was less than last yrs. When I questioned this, my boss told me if I want more $$$, I should contribute more to my 401k. How can I contribute more, when my salary *****. It is almost an insult and a slap in my face. I can really relate to your post. It *****, I guess we just wait it out till after the wedding...?
