FH just told me that there is a NYC living tax that will take $3000 of our money each year for income taxes for renting our apartment there. Is this true that there is a massive living tax? do you get any back? i am seriously reconsidering moving to queens now.
only for people that make less than 43000 a year as a single person or 75000 for a family - something like that and its 300 not 30000 - thats what i heard
as a nyc resident you do pay extra income tax. it comes right out of your paycheck like everything else. having lived in manhattan for a few years trust me that is the least of your worries - LOL!! there is no renters tax as far as i know.....
