When you fill your perscriptions do you use a special welfare fund card or what? I am not sure what to do. I kept calling for my welfare fund card is that what I need?

Yeah, you should have the prescription card, and take it to any pharmacy, they all accept it. BUT if you're filling a prescription for a maintenance medication (one you take every month, like Birth Control pills) they really make you jump through hoops. You have to get 3 months' worth at a time, and they're more expensive if you buy them through a pharmacy - the company wants you to get it through them in the mail, which is easy enough once you've enrolled, but enrolling is annoying.

I think you use the express scripts card just when you are mailing away for like a 3 month prescription. I also have a white UFT welfare fund prescription card that says NPA on it. I use that when going to a pharmacy.

also, there are some pharmacies that will fill your 3 month prescription with the single copay so you don't have to mail it in.

I use my express scripts card at CVS. They do make you take 3 refills at once of drugs you normally take like BC. If you have anitbiodics they have no problem filling them.
