I get them. They are caused by stress or if I have a really tight muscle in my next and shoulders. All I can say is you can suffer through them or I went to a chiropractor and that helped......you may have a tight muscle you dont even know you have. Or try a massage. DO you take meds for them? Also you might want to go see your neurologist.

I get severe migraines and my neuro put me on topomax and I also take a medrol dose pack for when the migraines get out of control like that when they start lasting for days. I am so nervous this is going to happen the day of my wedding. Migranes are the worst they stop your whole life. Good Luck, hopefully you and your Dr. will figure out what will work to stop them
I have been getting migraines for 14 years and stress is definitely one of the triggers ... sometimes when I feel too stressed I take a xanax and it helps me from getting as many migraines as I used to get!

she has made the entire process about her ....cant have my shower in the shower , cant have my shower on a friday night , cant get married may thru sept , my parents have to give alot more than she is , my parents have to match what she is giving towards a house , she HATES my wedding dress and had me crying when i went to buy it ...these are all things that she has said in the past 1 1/2 years of being engaged and now its 'you have to have the band or else' ... my parents have been amazing this entire process...not 1 demand!!! oh yea and another thing we couldnt get married on the sat night because there was a dinner dance that their friends wanted to go to...are you effing kidding me

Yes, I get Optical Migraines too. I also thought it was an eye problem...I was going to eye doctors, opthamologists, retinal specialist, and they all swore nothing was wrong. I went to a neurologist, who said yes, those are Optical Migraines. Do you get them at specific times? I get them more often when I am on my period...I actually got 3 last week...HORRIBLE! He gave me a prescription for Relpax to try next time I start seeing the spots/blurred vision. Hopefully that works...haven't gotten one since he gave me the meds...so we'll see...
Good luck!

Re: nwr:optic migraines
you are lucky.. my migraines usually last 7 days and thats being short!!! if you are stressed this could be triggering your migraines also.. if you are suposed to wear glasses or contacts, you should def wear them everyday because the stress on your eyes also triggers migraines
edt: to say that I get type 2 migraines, not optical migraines.. although stress in your eyes probably do cause migraines so I would still wear your glasses or whatever. If you take excedrin (sp?) migraine right away then it will help ... I have tried all the other perscription medicine and nothing else has helped me
