NWR...Skin care

Im hoping you girls can help me out. I am looking for a new face product for my skin. I dont have acne but have little blackheads on my chin and nose that drive me nuts everytime I look in the mirror. My skin is typically very dry and the second I put anything on it, it becomes oliy....Any products you recommend, ecspecailly for the blackheads?

TIA!

I can't remember the name now...but if you go to Sephora...the girls there are very helpful and can help find you something...they have tons of stuff for 'shrinking' pores.

I use proactive. I don't have any blackheads... and never really have.. but I used to get cystic ones that were a real pain in the ***. I was on Acutane twice too. Anyway... point it... I think Proactive has tons of stuff for that. You should check out Proactive.

I use the Philosophy Acne kit...but if you don't really have bad skin, you can probably get away with the 'Makeup Optional' kit. I've found it to keep things at bay...unless I'm super stressed, then nothing works. You do build up a tolerance after a while though.

I would suggest Proactiv as well. I dont have really bad skin...just really break out during the time of the month. I have only been using proactiv for about a month and I'm not sure it's just coincidence but this is the first month in a longggggggg time that I have not had ANY breakouts. I was like waiting for them to come lol. But anyway...I would definitely try that and see if that works!

The only way you can really get rid of the blackheads is to go for a facial. I am an esthetician and products can help but the best way to get rid og them is to take them out.. products are not going to disolve them.

If you have dry skin you shouldn't get the proactive. It is a very drying product and because you already have dry skin it will make it worse. If you overdry your skin it will produce more oil to keep your skin hydrated and actually cause your pores to clog more.

What you really need to look for is a non comodegenic cleanser that hydrates your skin. Try a milky cleanser.

My skin is the same way. If you touch it with acne stuff you will def break out (at least i do). Two recommendations, the first is the fancy face line at bath and body works:

I live on this stuff its so moisterizing but it doesnt clog your pores:

Second recommendation (which will sound so gross), is vaseline before you go to bed. My mom taught me that when i was younger, and it works SO well, but obvi not ok for daytime

I don't have acne but I use Clearasil cream cleanser and I love it. It's mosturizing and cleans off my makeup. It has very little beads in it that help with blackheads.

I use Dermalogica I got it from the women who does my facials. I have dry skin that can also turn oily quickly. I have two that I use. For the time of I use their acne line (don't remember the exact name) and for the rest of the time I use the Ultra calming face and eye cleanser. It is milky.

I love both!!!!!

I use philosophy as well, I have been using it since about april and with in a few weeks people have commented on my skin, asking what I have been doing different. People never made positive comments on my skin before so it feels nice. I still have black heads, but my pores are def. better. I guess that's just my skin.

Try Bliss Steep Clean, it works great on blackheads!

I use Proactive with a daily moisturizer and it works great.

I'd get regular facials until the wedding...(maybe every 6 weeks)...that's what will get rid of them without drying you out.

08er crashing - sorry, our board is slow! I got a philosophy set for xmas from my ILs -- and I have been using the purity made simple cleanser 2x a day and the hope in a jar moist. too -- since christmas -- and haven't seen much of a difference. I didn't have bad skin to begin with - could that be a reason? what did you see change? how long did it take to notice a diff? i just wanted something good for my skin and I liked the 'makeup optional' claim ... so far, that's not possible.
