Ugh!! I'm so upset I just want to cry! I truly hate my little sister! She is 17 years old and I truly believe she is the devil's spawn! She just comes and goes as she pleases. She is so disrespectful to my mom it makes me crazy! She was home this morning for Christmas then went to her friend's house and didn't come home the rest of the night. She didn't even care enough to have Christmas dinner with her family. After tonight she is no longer a bridesmaid and she is no longer invited to the wedding. If she doesn't want to be a part of the family, she can start by not coming to our wedding. Thank you for letting me vent!

sounds like a typical teenager. they want to be with their friends. was she always like that? im sure a lot of attention is on you with the wedding she may realize that shes not the center of attention and is looking for it back. good luck

No, she has been like this for a while. The wedding def doesn't help things either, but I'm not going to put my life on hold to wait for her to grow up.

That does sound sooo frusterating!
But I would think twice before totally removing her from the wedding. That might do serious damage to your relationship not only right now but also in the future.
Let's hope she can pull it together.

ITA. I know you are upset right now but she is your sister. Usually teenagers do crazy things..if you don't want her to be a bridesmaid then ok...but atleast invite her to your wedding...after all she is still your sister.
I'm so sorry you have to go thru this.

I'm sure its frustrating, but she is a teenager, which means she thinks she knows everything. When she gets to college she should realize she isn't the center of the world. At that age friends are more important than family but it won't last. I know you are angry with her now but I think you might regret her not being part of the wedding party when she has grown up and you are looking back on things.

i think you should be a bit easier on her-teenagers literally dont know the long term consequences of their actions as we do..that part of their brain isnt developed at that age..i know i did really stupid stuff as a teenager and cared more about myself and my friends than my family..and it took time to un-do that..but teenagers are just that-teenagers..she does need to grow up, but so does every 17 year old
