I didnt even get to pull in the driveway last night when DH came running out with our five year old. Apparently DH put him to bed and my little guy deceided that he wanted to play superman and jump from his brothers twin size bed into his little brothers bunk bed, which is metal, and hit his head on the railing splitting his head wide open. The ER was packed and they closed the fast track as we were checking in. Sooooooooooo we didnt get seen until about midnight. They contemplated giving him staples but changed their minds, cleaned it out and sent us on our way. He was such a good little patient, never crying. DH was a wreck(I think more so that I was going to kill him )and we just had him in the ER last week because of severe allergies. He has also slammed the back of his head on our coffee table and had to have 5 staples put in about a year ago. Im telling you this child is going to put me in the looney bin. Im exhausted though and really dont want to leave him but I agreed to go in early today.

OMG! Im glad he is okay! He keeps you on your toes, lol! I cant wait to have kids, but it scares me to think how little control we have over things like that.

Re: NWR=Spent the night in the ER....
I know and having three boys it's crazy I feel like I live in the ER. My daughter has been to the ER 3 times her whole life and she's 17yr. My 15yr. old son was literally in the ER 2X a week for almost a year when he was younger. He would ride his bike into street signs piles of garbage, etc to see if he could do stunts and when I would take the bike away he would use his friends. My husband came home to find him and his friends in a shopping cart running down the middle of our block. So now his 5 year old brother is just as bad. I told DH last night if we keep bringing the same kid back they are gonna think we are doing this too him. Another problem is DH just switched jobs so we have no health ins. right now.

The is where my Mom would say 'boys will be boys'. Sounds like my brother. He was always in the ER as a kid. We didn't think he would make it to adulthood. He did. He's 27 now. Good luck. It will be OK. He wont jump off the bunk bed again, that's for sure.

Re: NWR=Spent the night in the ER....
I was in the ER so much for doing stupid stuff like jumping off the top bunk, etc... that they eventualyl sent a Family/Child Services person out T OOUR HOUSE to make sure I wasn't living in an abusive home!!
My mom said she was so humiliated but now she laughs about it all the time.
OMG I am so glad he is ok... I have a 9 yr old and sometimes I think I'm not going to have anymore because I'm a nervous wreck with the ONE I have ... I dunno how you do it with all those kids !!
