yeah...take the contact out. I had one of those once and my Dr. gave me some sort of eye drops to use to stop the itching and help it go away.

Yes take out your contact. Then go to the store and get a product called (if you can believe this) stye and it will help ease the pain of it.

I would call the doctor and get a prescription
They sell over the counter stuff, but I usually get these drops and it is gone in 2-days
Feel better

Yup. Take out your contacts and put your glasses on. Go to the drugstore and get this medicine called 'Stye.' Ask the pharmacist if it's not on the shelf. It's an ointment that you apply to the stye. You should keep your glasses on and contacts out for a few days until it is completely gone!! HTH!

Take out your contact and throw it out Buy 'Sty' in the drugstore Meanwhile, apply warm compresses to your eye constantly. That will help the swelling go down.

The cause of a sty is a bacterial infection, usually staphylococcus. Nothing serious. This bacteria is part of your natural flora...sometimes causes problems. Make sure to keep that area free of makeup and any other things (lotions etc..) It should go away in a few days with warm compresses. If it doesn't, might have to be incised and drained (this is soooo rare, dont' even worry about it)

My mom always says to rub a wedding ring on it (it's an old wives tale) but it works!

I've had a couple of stys, and they're the worst! Definitely put a warm compress on it (even a warm cotton ball in a pinch), you'll feel so much better. And throw out any mascara or anything you might have used this morning; you don't want to spread it to the other eye or get re-infected.

Re: NWR......Stys
I used to find that I got them a lot in college until I switched to Focus Dailies, so maybe I just wasn't taking very good care of my contacts while away from home.
