NWR:Teachers???

I just got a job for september as a 3rd grade teacher. I 'know' what I am doing but I don't know what I'm doing!!! I need some help! If you can fm me I have some questions.

Im a teacher u can FM me! i taught 5th grade the last 2 years and next year im teaching 2nd...anf FH has been a 3rd grade teacher for the last 3 years

I just completed my first year teaching 7th and 8th grade. Although my students are older, it is still sort of the same. Any questions, please feel free to ask

I'm a teacher too.. and you will not have a clue what you're doing the first year!!!!! No amount of education prepares you for dealing with parents, administration, school policies,emergencies, severe or unique behavioral situations. But you'll learn... just have patience and believe in yourself. Do what you think is the right thing to do. Make friends with a senior teacher and let them guide you. Ask a lot of questions. Borrow good ideas ( with permission).Make friends with the custodians (lol). Be excited. It's a challenging profession, but the most rewarding one! Lots of luck!

I learned that this year as a TA...I think custodians and the secretaries are the best people to have on your side

congrats on getting a job. I teach 7th grade so I don't know how much help I can be but you will always remember your first year. Try to enjoy it

I absolutely second that. I have to also agree that your first year is really a lot of trial and error. You learn on your own what works best for you. I thought that college prepared me, but it really is true that you are not completely ready. You learn best simply from being in the classroom.
