For the ELA I incorporated reading passages and comprehension questions that coincided with the novel that we were reading at that time. ( The novel focused on bullying so I found passages and made questions that focused on bullying as well)

Basically, I took every section of the ELA and made it my own by having it focus on bullying and prepared them for it using those materials. I would tell them, 'This is similar to what you will see on the ELA'

Good luck...

I dont know about the elemantary ELA.. but I would focus on comprehension and writing skills.

Say that you teach the skills needed for the ELA in everyday lessons so that they are familiar with them and can transfer their learning.

Working on answering questions using written responses and looking back into passages for info. Also note taking skills. Good luck tomorrow!

A lot of the above. bt don't make it sound like you are 'teaching to the test.' Most prinicpals hate that and realize that these tests are just what we have to deal with now. I always try to combine test prep. with what we are actually doing in the curriculum.

You can also do 'boring' test prep. like reading comp., grammar, etc. as morning work when they come in to unpack, etc. Use that time to squeeze it in there.
