The same group of people play the lotto in my office every Tuesday and Friday. Well, last week my boss said she was told by a psychic if she were to gamble with a large group of people she will have success in winning a large sum of money. Mind you, these people NEVER EVER ask anyone outside their pool to play with them so my boss who is NOT there boss told the woman who buys the lottery tickets that she was going to play the next mega with them based on what the psychic told her. Without any hesitation the woman said, sure no problem. I turned around thinking the pool was open to just anyone in the office and said, 'Is it okay if I join you guys' she hesitated for a moment and said sure. Mind you, this woman and I face one another, we practically sit in the same cubical.
Well two days later, people were walking to her desk dropping off cash to play so I went for my wallet being she already gave me the 'okay' to play with them. As I was reaching for my wallet NOT thinking I would get the response I did...I said, 'I'll also give you my money for the lotto pool' she said, 'Oh, no I'm sorry I can't, they won't let me' meaning the people she plays with YET my boss said she was going to play with them which was okay, no questions asked.
My point here is, isn't it disgusting how GREEDY people can be with money thats not even theirs yet?!?!? She told me that because they probably don't want to add more people to the lotto pool being that would lessen the amount each person would receive if they were to win.
That is JUST DISGUSTING!!

that is very greedy!!! If you really wanted to be nasty, you could bring it up to the big boss that they are 'gambling' on work time...which I am sure wouldn't go over well...

That's bad, yes, their share will go down if you play but, their chance in winning will increase since they'll be buying more tickets!!!
ETA: Start your own pool, grab your boss and a couple of others. If the psychic is right, you guys will win instead of the other woman's group.

Thanks for listening girls, I just needed to get that off my chest. It just really irritated me and I'm still in shock. It's lotto for crying out loud. I mean don't these people realize they are being greedy with money thats not even theirs and there is a 1 in a million chance they will even win that money!! So instead turn people away because you are just too greedy to let 1 more person play because that 1 person is going to make such a BIG difference...UGH, so PATHETIC.
So ladies, I decided to make my VERY OWN lotto pool and hopefully my group will win

think of it as a sign---if you played with them and won, can you imagine what kind of legal battle it would've been to get your money? they probably would've said you didn't deserve to win, or didn't give $$ or something else.
