Re: NWR:Vineyards help!
Pindar and Bedell....you should go by Wicham's farm stand for fresh lemonade and roasted corn. Also, on the way back, defintely stop by Briarmere's...it's the most famous pie place ever! The pies are gianormous and are filled with fresh fruit picked right there from the farm stand! Here is a site that shows some info:

Re: NWR:Vineyards help!
Also my friends and I did a wine tour out east through a company where we got a package that included transportation (in case we had too much wine, lol), lunch at one of the vineyards and tastings at several of them. I forget the name of the company, but I will try and look it up for you. I think it was like $80 each and it was 4 hours.
I wrote this in a previous post - so I'll just cut/paste
_________________________ I'd check out:
Pellegrini (my fav) - north fork Pindar - north fork Martha Clara (a little south from the others) - north fork Lenz (not the coolest looking place, but its chardonnay has won some awards) - north fork Bedell (my other fav) - north fork
I also saw a reallllllly cute vineyard on my way out to Orient Point (might be the farthest one out on 25) called 'Old Field.' It looked BEAUTIFUL....and I think it's on the water. Might be worth checking out! ;)
All of the above are on Rt. 25 except for Martha Clara. (and Raphael and Palmer are also on 25...)
If you're on the south fork, DEFINITELY check out Wolffer in Sagaponack. I think It is the most BEAUTIFUL vineyard on Long Island. And Duckwalk on the south fork is also fun and has live music.

Not to 'one up' ya. We had something in our Pennysaver that said $50/person (but didn't include tax or tip).
We called and it was a 7 hour tour but only for 6 people. Not sure if we'll do it.

The Old Field is AWESOME. Run by a family and so quaint. They even do their own champagne!! Love the North Fork....
