NWR...wait, it kinda is: Sunburn

So I was at FH's softball tournament all weekend and have the worst sun burn on my face. I asked him to bring sunscreen yesterday and he said that I wouldn't need it because it was cloudy out.

Well... my face is read as a tomato & I'm blistering on my nose. I also have awesome sun glass tan on my face b/c I had my glasses on.

Best part is we have engagement pictures next Friday (17th).

WHY ME? WHYYYYYY?

Banana Boat also has an after sun lotion with aloe vera. It helps to soothe my burns. Neutrogena had one, but I can't find it anywhere. That is terrible though!

Pick up a little trial sized bottle and walk around with that. I do all summer because once I got burned the same way.

ooo I'm the queen of sunburns being super Irish and super pale and I used to lifeguard, jeez I cant tell you how many times I came home from work and I matched the red bathing suite LOL

try to keep it as mosturized as possible, coco butter helps a lot! If you use aloe make sure its not the blue kind that has alcohol in it to 'stop the pain' the alcohol will just dry out your skin and make the peeling process even worse.

Try not to use too much make up in the mean time. If you do need to use cover up try to use powder instead of liquid.

Cold milk on a wash cloth also helps. At night if you have a few min soak a washcloths in really cold milk and lay it on your face for a few minutes.

I've been applying aloe non-stop. I have appts to look at limos tonight and was kinda hoping I could at least cover it with makeup. I also start my first day of work tomorrow at my new job (this is going to be cute lol).

oh no!!!!!! I agree definently put tons of aloe. Hopefully it goes down by next wk.
