I've never heard of it before...is it over the counter?

It looks like it has ephedra in it... I wouldn't take it. (Then again, I don't think diet pills are healthy - ever!)

ETA -- or perhaps there are 2 versions, one with ephedra and one without..?

Yes....they have it at GNC

oooh, I wouldn't take any diet pills.... or pretty much anything from GNC for that matter. None of it is FDA approved, and frequently the contents aren't regulated much, if at all. it's like using your own body as if you were a lab rat.

the pills either are useless, or they contain some sort of upper, like ephedra, which is dangerous.... just stick to the normal diet / exercise routine, and avoid artifical sweeteners and processed foods. the weight will come off....

Re: NWR...weight loss suppliments

ok, had to check out those 'active ingredients' D4...

caffiene- basically an upper

octopamine- may mobilise the release of fat from adipocytes (fat cells), and this has led to its promotion on the internet as a slimming aid. However, the released fat is likely to be promptly taken up into other cells, and there is no evidence that octopamine facilitates weight loss. Furthermore, the safety of ephedra-free weight-loss supplements in humans is uncertain, as they have significant cardiovacular actions (from wikipedia)

ovodiamine- looked it up on pubmed, and there's only 1 citation referring to its potential as a weight loss aid.... which basically means it's a useless compound, since it would have been a really hot topic if the research was reproducible. Heck, my research includes studying the exact same receptor as the claimed target for ovodiamine, and I've never heard of this compound...(They claim it acts on the same receptor as chili peppers, so you could just acquire a spicier diet if you want those effects...)

makandi extract- claims to be the be-all elixer to cure glaucoma, digestional issues, lung problems..... sounds suspiciously useless....

save your $$$, and just drink some coffee and eat a bit of spicy salsa.......

Those sorts of things are either dangerous, like ephedra, or totally useless. If you want to lose weight, cut your calories, and exercise, specifically aerobic exercise of over thirty minutes four times a week.

If those things actually worked, and worked safely, don't you think everyone would be taking them, and your doctor would have you on them? They're a total waste of money.

The only diet aids that actually work are Meridia, the prescription SSRI, Alli and its prescription version Orlistat, which work by blocking the absorption of fat (which can have nasty side effects), and speed, which is really dangerous and mostly against the law. And none of those legal ones work really fast or without side effects.

Ok now you had to know I would answer this post.

DO NOT let me find out you are taking any kind of diet pills....I will be very uspet with you!!! How about you start off by just changing your diet..not really a hard thing to do....You can say NO to hooters and all that other crappy food you like

No diet pill is healthy and you will end up having more problems then you did before you started taking them....so DONT
