NWR...Went to a Restaurant
...Friday night and they refused to serve us tap water! NC (where we live) is under water restrictions and restaurants need to cut water usage by 50%.
I had been debating getting a mixed drink or water and decided to go for the water...and they told me it would have to be bottled!
Personally I hate bottled water because I'm cheap, it's expensive, wasteful, and I hate how much of it tastes. They REFUSED to serve me tap water, saying they decided not to because of the drought. They were still using regular plates and glasses (some places have switched to disposables), still serving ice (which comes from water, duh!).
It just seems so stupid. I've worked in a restaurant, and the majority of water use is dish washing, toilets...I was so angry that FH and I just walked out of the restaurant. I'm a little sad because there aren't a lot of good restaurants near us, and I will never go to this one again!
