my boss was similar ... except i'm somewhat friendly with him (he's still not invited though)
about 2 weeks after i got engaged, i told him and he said 'oh ... i didn't even see that there! i'm an idiot' ...![]()

haha, supervisors are weird. after my honeymoon--on my first day back at work--my boss came into my office and said 'did you get married?' when i said 'yes,' he ran to his office, got out a present, and said 'congratulations.' at no point did i ever show hesitation of getting married...so i decided it must just be a strange boss thing ![]()
