NY Radio Legend Scott Muni dead at 74

I was driving to a dr's appt yesterday afternoon and Q-104.3 kept having a voiceover going 'In Memory of Scot Muni' and I thought 'I don't remember hearing he died' but he had just passed away this morning.
I remember hearing him on the radio in the 70's when my older cousin used to play the radio at his house when I visited. I always remembered how distinctive his voice was.
I didn't listen to WNEW that much growing up but when I did catch him on there I would always listen because he had such great stories of musicians to tell.
I will, as I'm sure alot of NY'ers, miss him.
(Also I didn't know he wasn't really on the air from January until now, they were rerunning old segments. He had a stroke in Jan but up until then was still working, albeit his show ran just 1 hour a day. Still, how amazing is that)
