NYC Bar/Club????

A bunch of people from my job want to get together next Friday night in the city. Being I am the youngest they are leaving it up to me to plan it but I am not sure where to go. We range in age from 25-late 30's. Some people like to just sit at the bar and drink, others like myself love to dance. Can anyone recommend a good bar?

Ok - how about Mannahatta - it's a lounge bar/restaurant at 316 Bowery - They have a downstairs room that they sometimes open for dancing - you can call and get the details.

Belmont Lounge is also a nice place to sit, drink and talk - it's near Union Square. I don't think they have dancing.

Saloons is great.... it is up town in the 80's i think
It has 2 bars and a dance floor. 1 of the bars is in a seperate area completely away from the dance floor with different music

Back Room is a lot of fun and a little different...they serve mixed drinks in tea cups! Everyone looks so proper while they are getting trashed

I got the perfect place. I promise everyone will love it.
Everytime I bring someone they always go back with their group of friends.

CAFE WHA? Live music great band and they play everything from RB, POP, Alternative to Reggae. It is located In the Village and if you research they have been the rated as the #1 entertainment spot. Dancing is optional. Food is normal bar food. Zaget Survey rates them #1.

is that on macdougal street? i havent been there, but macdougal street is heaps of fun. if that place isnt so great the whole street is hopping.

All of the above are located in the Sutton Area (2nd Avenue and 51st - 53rd Street) - ranging in ages 21-30 - drinks, dancing, suits everyone.
