When I first started reading I was shocked that they were suing for so much, then I was shocked by how much money their flowers cost in the first place!..holy moly..that's more than my entire wedding plus HM!!

I think that is really ridiculous to ask for. I read alot of girls with florist problems on LIW but none went to this extreme yet. I think she is in for the money or is just one of those snobby didn't get her way b*tchy brides and is probably having a tantrum.

I hope that Florist sues back for defamation of character. What comes around goes around.

I know when signing contracts I saw a few vendors that stipulated that only the amount paid for the servers or items would be refunded in case of a major issue so basically you could avoid this sort of nonsense.

Seriously, this chick has wayyyyy too much time on her hands.

Seriously- I know we specify certain colors and whatnot, but mother nature really can't be helped!!!

Its not like she asked for pink and got blue....they were just a darker shade than she wanted...then again if I spent $30k on friggin flowers I might have my panties in a wad too!

I have to intervene here because I work with the groom and he is a good friend of mine as well. We spoke yesterday morning. I also spoke with him through their wedding process and yes they did spend a lot of money on their flowers but if you have it and can then that should be your choice!

The article was completeley fabricated trust me when I tell you that the lawsuit filed was not for 400G.

They spent a lot on the flowers and did not get what they were supposed to. They asked for a partial refund and the florist ignored them which is why they brought a suit against them.

Believe me when I tell you they are very upset that this was actually printed in the paper and not only printed but what was said was not true. He is livid and I would be too!

yes, that is exactly it.

Some of these uppity snotty B*tches that think the world revolves around their wedding need a wake up call. I could see if she sued for the amount of the items that had the wrong color, or even the entire floral budget, but not $400K that is insane and I hope the judge throws it out. THere is no way that a judge in his right mind would give her that $$.

She's blowing it wayyyyyy out of proportion. I can't believe that a judge would even give her close to that much money. Maybe a little less than what she paid for the flowers, but that's probably it.

Thats a crazy story!! I wonder if they gave her a sample centerpiece ahead of time? And if they did if she took a picture of it. That would be a big piece for who would win the case I think. I think $400,000 is a bit much to sue for, but you figure she uped the amount because now the flowers she is not happy with are in all of her pictures. Maybe sueing for like $100,000 would be more reasonable.

lol wow I wish I could sue our florist (unfortunately such silly suits only work in America)... Our florist got everything wrong..and by wrong I mean not even close...I mean I started bawling when I saw them...and I'm STILL not over it..not like the ther silly things that went wrong, this was big...my bouquet was the wrong color, bm bqs also wrong color, wrong size, wrong flowers, center pieces were lilies that were not even open! etc...I could seriously go on about this and we didn't get a reduction either...

sorry didn't mean to vent, just that reading this story brought back angry feelings

there are people who spend $30,000 on flowers, and then there are 3 year-olds starving to death in houses with no heat or running water in west virginia. somehow, she still has something to complain about.

it's time for the lil' princess to get over herself, i think.

I bet you the bride realized how stupid spending 30,000 was on flowers and wanted it all back at the end, she prob wanted to stir up trouble bec she spent soo much on her wedding. IDIOTS!!!!!!
