NYC DOE 2013

Does anyone have any idea when the 2013 spring recess is for NYC schools? I can't seem to find it anywhere online
TIA

Easter is on the 31st, and Spring Break is typically connected to it, so my BEST GUESS is the 25th through the 29th. This is not backed up by any facts, just my guess. You could email [email protected] about it, though - those are the folks that make these kinds of decisions.

I hope I'm right cause im booking my wedding for this tjme as well, I looked up the start date for passover because we always have passover even if it differs from Easter (we will always get good Friday but not always the week of Easter). Passover begins Tuesdat march 26 so I'm assuming the last day of school will be March 22...it works out for us cause March is still in the off peak time so prices are less expensive then if break was just 2 weeks later. Hope this helps

thanks! I never looked--just assumed our honeymoon would be mid april for the break. I guess I need to figure that out before we book anything

That should be right.

Our 1st anniversary is on Easter next year (31st)
This year, our honeymoon is during spring break. Usually public schools have off the week before Easter and return back that monday. Private/catholic schools tend to have off the week after Easter including Holy thursday and good friday of the week before.

I think this is correct info.

I work for a Nassau school and someone was telling me that we have to go back to school by April 1st or 2nd...Easter's really early next year.

Easter is on April 8th 2012 and the school break would start Friday April 6th to the 16th. You can go to board of education website as well for NYC Public schools.
