NYC Dwellers: Can you help me?

I need to head over to the garment district tomorrow. Where do I start? Im looking for yards of fabric, is this the right place to go?

Yup! The garment district is the 30's on the west side, Broadway and west. I think the fabric stores sell to individuals- some stores require a retail license.

Go down to 38st/39st/40st b/w 7th and 8th avenues..u can also try those streets but b/w 6th and 5th avenues...
they all have good fabric, theres even some bridal shops with gowns, headpieces, tiaras, ect.

i used to work over there so i know. plus i was in fashion!
