NYC Girls (or those in the city often)....I need your help
The short story:
I need to find nice, clean clubs, with good dance music in the city....and if you could the price range...like are they pricey are they decent. The bride doesn't really drink and just dances, but we are looking for a type of place that will fit those that wanna drink and not spend their retirement fund, and those that wanna dance their asses off all night. She went to webster hall and hated it. Said it was dirty and she felt hounded by perverted men all night.
The LONG STORY because I need to vent:
So.....my best friend is getting married 07-07-07....i am in the bridal party and her sister is the MOH. A while back we had planned on doing her bachelorette party as a weekend away up in new paltz (where the bride graduated..lots of bars, hiking during the day, dancing, away)....well i said to the MOH (after we have already talked about who would do what, i've bought stuff for it and everything) that we needed to sit down start narrowing in dates and maybe book the hotels after getting a rough figure to make sure we get what we want. she sends me back an email saying great i'll let you know.
Well low and behold, through the grapevine I hear that the new paltz thing is cancelled, the MOH doesn't want to go there and instead we're going to spend a weekend in the city or Atlantic City. Now whatever, if she didn't want to do New paltz why did she never say anything and why did I have to hear through the grapevine...That part upset me. But now we have to do what the MOH wants cause she is the sister, but the rest of us are trying to plan this to make sure that the bride is happy. She said she wants fun and cost effective so everyone can go. We will either drive or take the train in (the MOH said if she is going she is only going by her driving..so we'll see) to the city and i'm not sure if we are getting a hotel room or not yet. It all depends on prices. So basically now we have to find some places in the city that are decent clean and worth going to. She hates webster hall. Any ideas???
